By using Edulect you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.

What Edulect is

Edulect is an educational reference that republishes public government records and explains what offices do. It is not legal advice, not voting advice, and not an official source. When something matters, follow the source link and rely on the primary record.

Accuracy

We sync data from government sources on a schedule, so a page can lag behind a change made upstream, and upstream records themselves contain errors. We provide the service as is, without warranty, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it. If you find a mistake, please report it — see methodology and sources.

The assistant

The assistant answers from cited records and declines opinions, endorsements and predictions. Like any AI system it can still be wrong or incomplete; treat its answers as a pointer to the sources it lists, not as the final word. Requests are rate limited, and we may block use that degrades the service for others.

No endorsement

Nothing here is an endorsement of, or opposition to, any candidate, official or party. Listings of candidates reflect filings with the Federal Election Commission and are neither a recommendation nor a complete field. Edulect is not affiliated with any government agency, campaign or party.

Acceptable use

• Don't scrape or automate the site in ways that overwhelm it.
• Don't present Edulect content as an official government source or as an endorsement.
• Don't attempt to access other people's accounts or saved data.

Accounts and changes

You are responsible for the security of your sign-in. We may suspend accounts used abusively, and we may update these terms as the service changes. See our privacy notice for what we store.
